Is it still rare for people to check their inboxes, now that having stuff in your inbox turns the envelope beneath your karma bubble red?
Also, Warrigal is presumably expecting messages in response to this, and is therefore likely to be checking his or her inbox.
More generally, it does seem like it would be useful to be able to separate messages from comment replies in one's inbox. Would that be possible as a feature request?
My envelope is always red, and I can't find any messages in my "inbox".
Perhaps you should mention this phenomenon on the Issues, Bugs, and Requested Features thread.
For reference, 'inbox' should contain replies to all of your comments, as well as any private messages. It should turn red when there's a new one, and stop being red when you open your inbox.
Even when you click on the envelope? Huh.
