What makes this interesting is that we're otherwise inclined to find those genetically similar to us very attractive. So (e.g.) siblings who are raised apart and encounter each other later in life have a much higher than average chance of at least wanting a sexual relationship. Stories like that are common in fiction and reality.
Really? That seems like it's generally going to be counterproductive from an evolutionary perspective. It also doesn't really gel with at least parts of what I've read about attraction and diversity in immune systems. E.g. research has apparently shown that:
