I don't understand this:

cathy> 5, 7, 8
cathy> out
dave> out
dave> increasing

Why would Dave guess the set is increasing if 5,7,8 is out of Cathy's set?

That point was quite jarring - if it were 5, 8, 7, it would be more understandable. Unless Dave is supposed to be a fool.
