Nice post! This distinction should clear up several confusions. Incidentally, I don't know if there's a word for the opposite of a utilon, but the antonym of "hedon" is "dolor".

If we can split the futilon, we'll double everyone's utility function without needing Omega!

Sadly, the project was then used to bombard enemy countries with disutilons...
