Frank Adamek and I are going to host a Less Wrong/Overcoming Bias meetup tentatively on Saturday September 26 at 3pm in Coffman Memorial Union at the University of Minnesota (there is a coffee shop and a food court there). Frank is the president of the University of Minnesota transhumanist group and some of them may be attending also. We'd like to gauge the level of interest so please comment if you'd be likely to attend.

(ps. If you have any time conflicts or would like to suggest a better venue please comment)

Man I wish I weren't away at college, I'd love to come to a Less Wrong meetup in my hometown...

I'm available and flexible on the times.

Put me down as a very tentative maybe.

I'd attend; could be fun.

How about the Purple Onion? They have comfortable, wingback chairs. :)

I've heard the Purple Onion is a nice place but haven't been in. Do you think they could comfortably fit 20 or so people if we get that many?

Unfortunately, not that many, I'd say.

I'd like to come even earlier if possible since I've got to work at 5pm but regardless, I'll be there.

closer to/in Iowa? :)

In all seriousness, I'll see how my schedule is with homework, grading, and the like but it's probably too far away. I'm at ISU in Ames, IA, which, according to a friend, is about 3.5 hours from Minneapolis.
