If reason told me to jump off a cliff would I?
Interesting question. I'm tempted to say yes. If by jumping off a cliff, I can save the lives of 20 other people, then yes. I certainly should. I'm not going to say that I would, I'm a much a victim of acrasia as anyone.
Really? Well, so long as you don't try to tell me I should jump off a cliff to save 20 other people then by all means go ahead. The moment you tried to extend that norm beyond yourself I would reject your attempt.
