I haven't finished reading, but have noted a place where you write "a qualia" instead of "a quale".
Yes, that stuck out like a sore thumb for me also. I would also suggest saying "conscious experience" instead, to avoid the confused concept of qualia.
I can't make it less confusing by using a new word for it.
Dennett argues that the whole concept is confused, because the term "qualia" is used to mean something with many other characteristics than just conscious experience. The two are not synonyms.
