Sometimes I believe that

  • consequentialism calls possible worlds good
  • deontology calls acts good
  • virtue ethics calls people good

Of course, everyone uses "good" to label all three, but the difference is what is fundamental. cf Richard Chappell

I think you're right on, in broad brushstrokes.

I've actually diagrammed this for people, showing the [person]->[action]->[result] system, and haven't seen a philosopher object to the rough characterization.
