If you don't already have it, then reading the sequences will give you a basic grounding in probability theory, decision theory, metaethics, philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, computer science, cognitive bias, evolutionary psychology, the theory of natural selection, artificial intelligence, existential risk, and quantum mechanics.
Well there were several subjects in that list I knew little about until I started reading the Sequences, so yes, on that point I confess I'm being hyperbolic for humorous effect...
