Don't be intimidated by the paper though; Tegmark may be the best popular science writer out there and The Multiverse Hierarchy is written for a wide audience. It is not dumbed down; it just doesn't have any math. Even the "full-strength" paper is not very mathy in the scheme of physics papers.
