This article gives me a better perspective as to why scientific journals like to publish surprising results rather than unsurprising ones -- they are more informative, for the very reason they are likelier to be wrong.
Yes... if a theory adds to the surprisal of an experimental result, then the experimental result adds precisely the same amount of the surprisal of the theory. That's interesting.
