22/7 gives "something like" something like 3.1427 ?!? Surely it is more like some other things that that!
Well, yes - it's more like 3.142857 recurring. But that's fairly minor.
(Footnote: I originally thought the teachers had performed the division incorrectly, rather than the anonymous commenter incorrectly recount the number, so this comment was briefly incorrect.)
