Which criticism? If you mean to say Aikido is competative, well, depending which flavor, it often doesn't have much in the way of competition... as such. The training method involves people pairing up and basically taking turns attacking and defending, with the "defending" person being the one actually doing whatever technique is the one in question, but the "attacker" is supposed to allow it, or at least not overly resist/fight back.

Or, did I misunderstand?
