If my copies can make copies of themselves, then I'm more inclined to put in a year's work to create the first one. Otherwise, I'm no altruist.

You're both clever! In any case, if I can repeat the offer serially and the copy is from after the work, then there will actually be 2^N of me if I do it N times. Obviously there are an infinite number of me if the copy is from before.
