Dark Side epistemology is about protecting false beliefs, if I understand the article correctly. I'm talking about protecting your values.
Anti-epistemology (the updated term for the concept) is primarily about developing immunity to rational argument, allowing to stop the development of your understanding (of factual questions, or of moral questions), and keep incorrect answers (that usually signal belonging to a group) indefinitely. In worse forms, it fosters the development of incorrect understanding as well.
