If you're being held back by worries about your values changing, you can always try cultivating a general habit of reverting to values held by earlier selves when doing so is relatively easy. I call it "reactionary self-help".
It's important to distinguish changes in values, from updating of knowledge about values in response to moral arguments. The latter emphatically shouldn't be opposed, otherwise you turn morally stupid.
