If you're being held back by worries about your values changing, you can always try cultivating a general habit of reverting to values held by earlier selves when doing so is relatively easy. I call it "reactionary self-help".
You can also try to engage in trade with your future selves, which most good formulations of CEV or its successors should probably enable.
