I like that one of the humans acknowledged the existence of paperclip maximizers (around 7:50).
It seems to me your task would be easier if people didn't acknowledge paperclip maximisers. Humans aren't going to start maximising paperclips, so your best odds are to do and end run around us. That's easier to do if we aren't aware of your existence.
