You (appear to) claim too much for your argument. The only pro-cryonics argument that this counters is Robin's claim of cryonics as efficient altruism, and it doesn't seem to me that any of the other cryonics posts you cited depend on this claim.

You ought to make it clear that Robin's post is the only one you object to on these grounds.

Would this issue be resolved to your satisfaction if I changed the title of the article to "against altruistic cryonics..." ?

That would help, but the introduction needs work too.

It feels like you have two distinct posts awkwardly glued together: one pointing out that cryonics is no more selfish than ordinary selfish expenditures, and another pointing out that it is not the most efficient altruistic use of your money. I'm not sure how they might be better integrated.

If that's your point, then it would certainly help to make it clear in the heading.

Does wanting to save those close to you count as altrusim?
