Has anyone compiled a list of one (two tops) sentence rationality heuristics drawn from LW canon into one place, ideally kinda-sorta thematically organized? I think this would be pretty cool to post on your refrigerator or for flyers... at the very least, useful for finding common themes and core ideas.

If nobody has done this then I will spend a few hours tomorrow digging through LW and related materials (yudkowsky.net) for quoteables and, quality and time permitting, post a paste a draft either here or in a top level post asking for more things to add.

I plan on blatantly ignoring inidication of authorship, even if the author has a cool name like Black Belt Bayesian. There are many reasons to do this and I think it's an understandable move.

I see you've made such a list, now; want to have some of the sayings on buttons? (Both NancyLebovitz and I make them, in different sizes; hers would fit more text but mine are less conspicuous accessories.)

Probably someday, especially if I end up living in Berkeley next month. But currently I have -1000 dollars to my name, alas.

Good luck with that. I'm down too but not by as much (and it's a sum of positive and negative, which wasn't true until recently).

A question from the other side of tomorrow--did you make that list?

No; I should have given a probability estimate. I think the event that popped up was a 20% chance kinda event. I'll say... 80% chance I'll be done by the end of tomorrow, just in case it takes way longer to speed read the Sequences than I'd thought.

I've found that during a variety situations, from games to social situations to tests in college, I'll often remind myself to "not be Bruce". So "Watch Out for Bruce" or "Don't be Bruce" both work as long as you know the article.

Are you basically looking for rationality catch phrases, similar to how some people post motivational quotes on their bathroom mirror so they see it in the morning?

Catch phrases yes, but not necessarily all that catchy: as long as they're short and sum up a good rationality heuristic.
