Sorry, what? You want us to pay you to research string theory because some of the underlying issues are related to the singularity? How do we know you don't just enjoy researching string theory?

The singularity connections - basic physical ontology, mathematical techniques - are somewhat oblique, though they do exist. But if I ever do get paid to work directly on string theory, it will surely take the form of a research job at a university, rather than charity from a reader of LessWrong. The strings are mentioned in this article because they're part of what I have been doing, not because they're the whole of it.
