I like this; it seems practical and realistic. As a point of housekeeping, double-check the spaces around your links--some of them got lost somewhere. :)

More specifically, from "4. Update your near-mode anticipations, not just your far-mode beliefs" downwards, the links began lacking spaces with two exceptions.

Are they still lacking spaces on your browser? I'm puzzled, because they were lacking spaces for me last night (confusingly, even though there were spaces in my text in the edit window), and then they disappeared this morning without my having changed the text meanwhile.

That's quite strange, but yes, they're fixed now.

For reference: What browser are you using? I'm currently running Google Chrome.

Chrome as well. I've had this problem before with other posts and non-confidently suspect I tried other browsers at that time.
