At root, all these false, or at least unjustifiable, beliefs are based upon interpretations of the human world.

Yep, that's the Gossip mind -- built-in projections applied to social situations, especially those that reflect on one's own status.

Ironically, the "lower" Savant mind doesn't make these kinds of mistakes, since it's based on simple "what comes next" projections that can use actual prior events (even if those records are systematically distorted by their corresponding emotional effects). The Savant doesn't make as many mistakes as the Gossip, because the Savant only thinks one step at a time, if it can be said to "think" at all. "Predicts" is probably a better word.
