I'm not sure that thats a terrific argument against uploading though. After all, if we could provide a significant other or family member with immortality+happiness then we'd do it, so we'd surely be psyched for an exact copy of ourselves. Obviously ideally we'd like to be the one thats in there, but that doesn't necessarily make any sense...
