We've had some discussions on the term "rationality" before. I agree that having a bunch of empiricists going around calling themselves "rationalists" is very unfortunate given the prevalence of the rationalism vs. empiricism debate, and am open to the idea of a replacement term.
However, rather than discussing the merits of any specific alternatives in this regard, I believe it is best that we hold off on proposing solutions and discuss the problem first. In particular, we should try to come up with some specifications for any new term to satisfy (such as being free of confusing double meanings), and consider not switching names at all if the benefits do not outweigh the transition costs (not the least of which would be convincing the entire community to switch).
