I made a page for Helsinki meetups in the wiki: http://wiki.lesswrong.com/wiki/Helsinki_meetup_group
People who are interested in attending can subscribe to the Atom feed with a RSS reader to receive updates.
That is, assuming this actually was a good idea and will get used for further meetup coordination.
Well, it's resulted in it showing on the page now. We might want to ask the site admins to put a "Meetups" link in the site's top-level menu, going to a wiki (category?) page listing the various meetups' location pages. There are certainly enough meetups happening for that to make sense.
Actually, somebody doing a monthly "Meetups" thread, analagous to the monthly quotes thread, would probably also be a good idea.
Of course, this entire discussion probably belongs on one of the Improving Less Wrong threads, but I'm not sure how to find them...
Time:Saturday 9th of April from 15:00 onwardsPlace: Cafe Picnic at Yliopistonkatu 5This is the second Helsinki meetup. The last one was successful, going on for three hours with around ten people there. Like before, lurkers and newbies are extremely welcome, as well as people who don't speak Finnish but do speak English.
This time, User:Erebus thought we could talk about at least these topics:
but suggest more.
EDIT: The original time was a bad time, so the meetup at that time is hereby cancelled. What time would be better?
