My brain translates this into: "Dots and connections only exist inside the mind, and a dot is actually made up of lots of little connections, which are in turn made up of even littler dots, and so on... Also, reality is highest-quality dot matrix printer ever. But not really."

If I could get an FAI to grant one wish, I'd probably ask it to make my brain perceive irreducible wholeness.

Maybe a better version of my original question is: "Did you have thoughts/revelations during your peak experiences that had no context or metaphorical relationship with the rest of your life? Like a fractal generator that magnifies itself for awhile before suddenly producing an image of Bugs Bunny."
