Goals:

To meet and network with likeminded Minnesotans.

I'll do my best to answer any questions people have about SIAI, rationality, x-risk strategy, and intelligence amplification (I spent about 2 years as a fellow).

To better figure out what our personal supergoals are. I'll build and print out a goal system investigation worksheet.

Directions:

The Minneapolis meetup will take place this Saturday the 14th at 3:00 PM in Coffman Memorial Union at the University of Minnesota. We'll be meeting inside at Starbucks, next to the northwest entrance to the bookstore, and underneath the northwest entrance to the Union. That entrance is a separate glass-sided structure right next to Washington Avenue, not the multistory brick building, but you can get to Starbucks from either entrance; it's on level 2.

RSVP and I'll keep an eye out for you. You can contact me at jshovelainsiai@gmail.com.

Freaking awesome. I tried to pull this together HERE without success. I'm in as far as I know.

You seem to know this area... suggestions for parking? I'm a St. Paul-ite and Mpls freaks me out when it comes to parking and driving around there in general.

If you park near the St. Paul campus, there's a free shuttle bus that stops across the street from Coffman. http://www1.umn.edu/pts/bus/connectors.html

I'm somewhat interested, but have plans already.

Don't know how I missed that, but I'm in for this one. I have two days to catch up on months of LW posts or I'll be hopelessly outdated.

I'm parking northwest of Dinkytown and walking; it's a nice area.

Sorry -- I was already booked to help a friend replace his shocks and struts and it just took too long. I couldn't make it. Please, please, please do this again. Now that some have responded, does that mean we have 4 locals? Or Justin, were you just visiting? I'd really like to meet you all sometime soon.
