I do not like this modification. His way is more elegant because it starts with less information. It is less robust because it does not depend on an initial concept of "knowledge". "knowledge" does not make sense in all instances.
P1 is Dutch Book justifiable, I think. For instance x has to not be preferred to x, or else trading x for x would be a benefit.
