It's a rather recent neologism (not from LW though). I'm not fanatically attached to the word, but it's pretty important to distinguish beliefs held by System-1 and System-2. Trying to change your beliefs (as analytic evidence processing with explicit correction) using the methods in the post would be awful doublethink. Trying to change your beliefs (as gut feelings you feel impulses to act on, or aliefs) to match the former kind of belief is just dandy.
