Again, congratulations on realizing that humans' values are not consistent and especially are not consistent with their claims.
Also, “does not believe mental states are ontologically fundamental - ie … denies the reality of something like a soul” — I do believe that what you (supposedly) call “mental states” is ontologically fundamental; yet I do not believe in supernatural souls (so-called “cartesian dualism”).
