I just signed up for the SI credit card. My current one gave me no benefits, so this was a no-brainer move, and it took less than 10 minutes.
It's also a way to visibly affiliate with the SingInst brand.
I wonder if they receive any money from the SingInst shirts and stuff on Zazzle.
I'm also curious if seeing the SingInst logo every time you pull out the card to pay for something, you'll get a guilt twinge at realizing the potential utility tradeoffs.
That last one is a good reason to put rationality and SIAI symbolism everywhere that you might make decisions or be subject to akrasia: by your computer, on your fridge, on your wallet...
Good advice. In this spirit, the SIAI logo is now my desktop image. On a related note, is there a larger copy of the logo anywhere? The one I could find is a little crude when blown up to desktop resolution.
