Wow, this post shot LW's "politics is a mind-killer" policy in the head and jumped up and down on its corpse. That said, I'm at loss about how I feel. This seems to me at once dangerously naive and blissfully idealistic. I do feel, though, that having a government/system like this in place will increase the chances of positive singularity by a good margin, and that's nothing to scuff at.
