Or like so:
(6) Prefer brevity. Cut what isn't needed, or at least move it to an endnote.
(12) Avoid cliches like the plague, they're old hat.
(21).Shorten your sentences and paragraphs; replace semicolons with periods.
(27) Employ the vernacular.
