I'm going to write an (introductory) class paper on Kolmogorov complexity and Solomonoff induction soon-ish (within the next 2-3 months), and I already intended to write a less serious article or two about it while I'm at it (though not necessarily for LW). I'm not committing to anything, but I might well take you up on this, if it's still open by then.
