Is it really necessary to explain the concept of algorithm in an "intuitive" explanation? This looks like it will turn into a decent explanation for the (IQ > 115 && curious) crowd. I think it's going to have to sacrifice a lot more detail if you want to get down to the (IQ ~ 100 && not particularly curious) crowd. Maybe I will make an attempt.
