Having decided I should try to make a first appearance on Friday, even while battling to clear desks ready to head for the coast, a few hours after seeing this notice, another channel led me to: http://lesswrong.com/r/discussion/lw/8ts/open_problems_related_to_the_singularity_draft_1/ which is of clear interest to a few locals.
