I thought you meant spiritual as in "Find something more important than you are and dedicate your life to it." did I misinterpret?
If an interpretation wasn't given, then you were free to make up whatever meant something to you. To contrast with yours, i interpreted spiritualism in this sense to match "non-theistic spiritualism" eg nature-spirits, transcendental meditation, wish-magic and the like.
It seems to me that a reasonable improvement for the next survey would be to lower the ambiguity of these categories.
I think you are entitled to make up your own interpretation of a question like that :) Yours is a reasonable one IMO.
