It was the first thing that stood out to me, quite frankly, and it seemed a rather fundamental criticism of the clarity of thought of the author: the vast majority -- it seemed to me -- of his position rested upon a notion that was both faulty and exposed by my original posting.
Any other 'dissection' seems entirely unnecessary, in my eyes, given this.
It isn't obvious to you that this a fairly off the cuff response, and that "10 times" is used in a slightly colloqial way to mean "a lot more"?
