Seriously. In third grade, the teacher actually put me in a closet-ish room to do anagrams while the other kids learned things -- though not always alone; there was at least one other smartie.
My math edge probably died then, too. When I conspicuously stopped doing practice problems, the teacher blatantly overlooked it.
