I understand that this is all Vaniver meant, yes. But for someone who hasn't read my actual posts, that's not necessarily obvious. And referring someone as a "proponent" of something when all they are is a proponent of the legalization of something is a common and somewhat dirty rhetorical trick for hooking people's emotions (used eg in the case of abortion - people who want to legalize abortion don't refer to themselves as "proponents of abortion" nearly as much as people who want it to be illegal). This was almost certain not Vaniver's intention, but still not the sort of thing we should be engaging in on LW.
