How did Less Wrong get its name?

I have two disjunct guesses that are not mutually exclusive, but do not depend on each other:
1. It was Michael Vassar's idea. He is my best guess for who came up with the name.
2. It was inspired by this essay. This is my best guess for what inspired the name.

I don't know if either of these is true, or both, or whatever. I want to know the real answer.

Searching this site and Google has been useless so far.

EY polled Overcoming Bias readers on their favorite from a list of several options, and "Less Wrong" was the overwhelming winner. Not sure how the options were generated.

I remember Eliezer's post announcing LW. He didn't give any explanation of why it was called that, he just said "tentatively titled Less Wrong."

I'd be interested in hearing the answer to this. I suspect it was just a cool name that Eliezer came up with.
