Ack, that won't do. It is generally detrimental to be overly concerned with winning arguments. Aside from that, though, welcome to LW!

edit: I don't think I've ever gotten 4 replies to a comment, let alone 4 replies at once to a six-month-old comment. But since it got so much attention, I should clarify that I intentionally conflated different meanings of purposefulness for dramatic effect.
