It would be more correct to say that "Winning as defined by general society norms" is not a strong measure of rationality. "Actual Winning", as defined by the agent's own total values, certainly must be.
After controlling for luck, intelligence, and hard work.
And starting position.
Delta(winning), perhaps?
That should correlate better, for sure.
Isn't that just a subset of luck?
Not an unreasonable way to draw the lines.
