Sure, take it into account but take into account the probability of that as well. I tend to look on the dark side of things, but have recently taken to heart that the probability of The Bad Thing is usually quite low.

Maybe some crazy people will snatch me up in the night and torture me too, but I'm not going to lose sleep over the possibility because of it's low probability.
