Is it legitimate to hold that the possibility of being a Boltzman brain doesn't matter because there's no choice a Boltzman brain can make which make any difference? Therefore, you might as well assume that you're at least somewhat real.

Well, if you are a Boltzmann brain than your best bet may be to maximize enjoyment for the few fractions of a second you have before dissolving into chaos. So if you assign a high probability that you are a Boltzmann brain maybe you should spend the time fantasizing about whatever gender or genders you prefer.

How long are Boltzman brains likely to last? I'd have thought that the vast majority of them flick in and out of existence too quickly for any sort of thought or choice.

On the other hand, I suppose that if you have an infinite universe, there might be a infinite number of Boltzman brains which last long enough for a thought, and even an infinite number which last long enough to die in vacuum.
