OMG you poor fellow! you've got to share your status-marking 'belief' in singularity with Glenn Beck!!!!
Beck may (or may not) be a whackadoodle, but I can't imagine how anybody watching him could doubt the raw firepower. What are the chances a guy like that lets some ding dong research assistant slip views like this past his editorial control? I say they are SUPER LOW.
I'm not even a little a fan of Glenn Beck, learning most of what I know about him by watching Jon Stewart. But I am smart enough to be rejiggering my view of him even as we type. I've already googled Beck+Singularity and seen some of the stuff he has done in the past and it is all consistent with him falling in to the singularity institute stuff.
OMG, what if none of is any saner than Glenn Beck?

He/she was not saying that Beck let "some ding dong research assistant slip views like this past his editorial control". The claim was that while Beck in all probability agrees with the broad conclusions of the excerpt, it is unlikely that he personally researched or wrote it. In so far as people are impressed by the specific content of the excerpt (as opposed to the broad conclusions) or by the fact that it quotes SI people, the credit is probably...
