Just because you're unfamiliar with the terminology doesn't mean it's unclear or inefficient or has a low signal to noise ratio in its own terms. Don't be a dick. But yeah it's basically a restatement of things already in the sequences and general LW positions. That doesn't mean it's intended as applause lights, either, it's just a different way of looking at the same conclusion which may be useful to others.
