PUA is generally criticized for seeming nonconsensual, violating other people's agency, possibly putting your own desires above theirs, and so forth. I don't see how a purely consensual and voluntary ritual can be called dark arts "in the exact same way".
Hmm. note that none of those criticisms are about consequences...
Feelings and epistemic states are consequences. Notoriously undervalued and overlooked consequences.
