Should this be:

(deprecating the value of exploratory data analysis) and (depicting data graphically)

deprecating [(the value of exploratory data analysis) and (depicting data graphically)]?

ETA: Also, very nice article! I'm glad that you point out that NHST is only a small part of frequentist statistics.
